Vernier Dynamics SystemOrder code: VDSVERNIER DYNAMICS SYSTEM Vernier took a standard physics teaching tool and made it better - a lot better. The Vernier Dynamics System consists of a 1.2 metre long black anodised aluminium track with a metric scale, a pair of Dynamics Carts (Collision Trolleys) and accessories. It has been designed to be a great aid in your physics classroom. The Vernier Dynamics System is a perfect match for the Vernier Motion Detector (not included). Purchasing the optional Optics Expansion Kit allows the track to be used as an Optics Bench. The extremely rigid Dynamics Track / Optical Bench ensures that the heavy track stays flat and true and won't sag under use. The protective black anodised finish also makes for a very low friction surface. The supplied accessories include two Dynamic Carts (Collision Trolleys), magnets and Velcro dots for elastic / inelastic collisions, feet, 500g mass, end stops with magnet holders, a clamp for a Retort Stand or similar, two brackets for Photogates and a bracket for a Motion Detector. Vernier Dynamics Carts The Vernier Carts (Collision Trolleys) are used for kinematics and dynamics experiments. Sealed wheel bearings ensure that the Dynamic Carts have extremely low rolling friction. Unlike moulded wheels, the machined wheels are truly round. Attach a Dual Range Force Sensor or Wireless Dynamics Sensor System or use the carts with a Vernier Motion Detector. Roll the cart down a ramp to study Constant Acceleration or use two carts to study Conservation of Momentum. These superior low friction carts give very high quality data. Interchangeable magnets and Velcro dots make the carts very versatile. The Plunger Cart has a spring-loaded plunger for consistent collisions, while the Standard Cart is similar but has no plunger. Vernier carts are compatible with other common carts and tracks. Wireless Accessories The Vernier Wireless Dynamics Sensor System (WDSS) easily mounts onto a Dynamics Cart (Collision Trolley) to measure Force and Acceleration in the one sensor. Using Bluetooth technology, the WDSS sends data directly to Logger Pro wirelessly, allowing you to collect accurate data with no dangling cables adding friction to your experiment. Vernier Optics Expansion Kit The OPTIONAL Vernier Optics Expansion Kit adds optics experiments to the Vernier Dynamics System. The kit includes three lenses and adjustable lens holders, a screen with holder, a luminous light source and a point light source.
