The MolymodŽ Valence Shell Electron Pair Repulsion (VSEPR) kit is ideal for teaching about molecular shapes. Use the VSEPR kit to make linear, trigonal planar, tetrahedral, trigonal bipyramidal and octahedral structures plus at least14 VSEPR structures.

Coloured links represent electron-pair bonds (single, double and triple) and lone-pair electrons.

Includes atoms to make the following models:
metallic grey atom, 2 hole, linear, e.g. beryllium in BeCl2
yellow atom, 3 hole, trigonal, e.g. sulfur in SO3
black atom, 4 hole, tetrahedral, e.g. carbon in CH4
yellow atom, 4 hole, tetrahedral, e.g. sulfur in SO32-
red atom, 4 hole, tetrahedral, e.g. oxygen in H2O
light green atom, 4 hole, tetrahedral, e.g. fluorine in HF
light brown atom, 5 hole, trigonal bipyramidal, e.g. phosphorus in PCl5
yellow atom, 5 hole, trigonal bipyramidal, e.g. sulfur in SF4
green atom, 5 hole, trigonal bipyramidal, e.g. chlorine in ClF3

50 medium links (grey, single bonds)
15 medium links (purple, to represent lone pairs)

Tooling:
1 tool to disassemble models containing short link bonds.

The kit is supplied in a sturdy plastic storage box.
