Magnetic Field Demonstrator Oil Filled
Order code: SC7195Very fine iron filings are suspended in a clear fluid enclosed in a plastic case with see through top and sides. When shaken the filings disperse evenly. Bringing a magnet under the case allows the filings to take up the shape of the magnet's field. Students can then be asked to describe the magnet's shape by observing the filings.
