The IEC Laserview Kit is a useful set of specially moulded prisms and bars that permit a laser beam to be visible as it passes through the plastic. The lenses have the same shapes as those found in a Hodson Light Box. The big difference is that these lenses and bars show the path of a light ray within the lens/bar.
Use the kit to clearly demonstrate that light can be bounced off walls - total internal reflection. They are ideal for teaching the basics of fibre optic data transmission and provide an easily understood demonstration of how light can travel through a waveguide or fibre optic cable.
Join the bars end to end to extend length. Use with a laser, laser pointer or Laser Ray Box for the best results.
Individual lenses and bars are available.
