IEC ELECTRIC MOTOR GENERATOR
Great for experiments in Energy Conversion. Consists of two medium sized electric motors securely mounted on a small base. The motors are coupled together by a small rubber belt. The pulleys are equal size and therefore the ratio is 1:1. Each motor can be run as a motor or a DC generator or both can be run as motors that can either add or subtract their powers. The conversion from electrical to mechanical energy can be studied together with the conversion from mechanical to electrical energy. The motors have been chosen so that reasonable efficiency figures can be obtained. Experiments that can be performed include: motor efficiency, power, torque, work done, losses and generator efficiency.
4mm banana sockets are provided for connections.
Max voltage: 12 Volts DC.
